There Isn't Still Time To Make it a Great Advent...

Each year, around the final days of Advent and Lent, the Catholic Blogosphere lights up with posts about how "it isn't to late to make this season count."

As we reach the final Sunday of Advent, I'm sure you know that this is not going to be one of those kinds of posts.

Today is the final Sunday of Advent. The candles are all lit, the presents are all wrapped, and the season of preparation and anticipation is almost over.

Christmas is almost here!

If you haven't done anything in the way of preparing for His arrival during the Advent season, I'm here to let you know that it is definitely too late.

You aren't going to be able to pull off some epic journey of holiness desperately crammed into the next five days.

But, there is good news.

While the Catholic Liturgical calendar guides us to work on certain aspects of our faith journey at certain times of the year, we are not limited by them.

It isn't like, "Welp, there goes Advent...guess I'll have to wait for Lent to try and get holy."

We can start working on our holiness at any time.

So, if you blew it this Advent, don't worry.

You can start today...or tomorrow...or on January 6th.

Just make sure you start.
