Sr. Alicia on Chopped

Last night, Sister Alicia Torres, a religious sister from Chicago, brought the Catholic heat to the TV show Chopped.

It's pretty awesome to have a religious repping the Faith to the masses, and we thought we'd give you all a chance to get to meet this cooking nun.

Sister Alicia was one of four chefs trying their best to create culinary innovation with Thanksgiving leftovers on the show Chopped, and she pulled off an amazing victory, securing 10,000 cool ones for her charity of choice and providing a great witness to our culture in the process.

Torres, just 30 years old, has learned to take basic ingredients and transform them into masterpieces, which she says is a necessity when working at a soup kitchen.

Evidently, Torres decided to apply for the show when the producers put out a call for men and women religious, which I guess goes to show that the Church isn't as unimportant as our culture pretends it to be...

With that in mind, we're encouraging everyone to start following Sr. Alicia on Twitter (@SrLilChef), and we're humbly putting out a request to the good Sister to give us an exclusive Catholic Hipster interview!

We'll let you know what she says!
