Things I'm Hoping For With The #PopeInUS

The Catholic Blogosphere has been covering the #PopeInUS event from every possible angle one could ever imagine.

And while you would probably be better off following someone actually in Philly, DC, or New York as this week unfolds, you can be sure that The Catholic Hipster weblog will give you the kind of coverage you aren't going to get anywhere else.

Last week, we brought you the #PopeInUSDrinkingGame, and today we're sharing some of the things we're hoping for with Pope Francis visiting our lovely country:

1. Enrage "Conservatives" by commenting on the need to help the poor and welcome the refugee.

2. Treat the President and his "Anti-Catholic Welcoming Committee" with love and kindness, thus fueling media speculation that he will change the Church's teaching in no less than 8 different areas.

3. Speak about our need to care for creation, spurring blog posts from people who want to educate us on the idea that we don't have to agree with him on this issue.

4. Enrage "Liberals" by sharing a story about how Junipero Serra was instrumental in protecting the Natives of California, and did more for them than anyone else; past, present, or future.

5. Eat a Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich...on a Friday!

What are you hoping for this week with Pope Francis coming to visit the greatest county in the world?

Share with us on Twitter...even if you're ideas aren't merely tongue-in-cheek jokes...
