What a Broken Washing Machine Has Taught Me...

So often in life we have little annoyances and difficulties that come up and drive us absolutely nuts.

My wife and I have had one such annoyance over the last couple of days, with our 8 year old washing machine breaking down and deciding it doesn't want to be a part of the family anymore.

When these kinds of things come up in our lives, we may not notice it, but we are being a given an opportunity to learn something, to grow in holiness, and to move closer to being the person God intends us to be.

So, I'm trying to take a step back and look at what I can learn from this situation with our broken washing machine.

What has a broken washing machine taught me?

Nothing.

Absolutely nothing.

It just sucks.

Sometimes when we have little annoyances and difficulties come up in our lives, there's nothing to learn, no bigger purpose pushing us to grow, and nothing to be gained.

So, put on your dirty shirt, pour youself another cup of coffee, and pray that the Lowe's delivery van gets here today with the new one today like they promised.
