Obscure Saint of the Day: St. Pantaleon

Welcome to a brand new work week, my beloved Catholic Hipsters.

Happy Feast of St. Pantaleon!

Pantaleon was a medical doctor so good at the healing arts that he was called to become the personal MD of the Emperor Diocletian!

Unfortunately, the job offer also came with the requirement of renouncing his faith or facing death.

As we all know, we wouldn't be talking about him unless he chose the later!

Pantaleon is known in the East as the "Great Martyr and Wonder Worker," and was killed for the faith in 303.

St. Pantaleon, pray for us!
