Obscure Saint of the Day: St. Odilo of Cluny

Happy Monday, hipsters!

Today is the feast of St. Odilo of Cluny!

Born into a wealthy family, Odilo entered a Benedictine monastery in 990 and was elected abbot just four years later.

At one point, he sold the treasures of the monastery to help feed the poor and starving during a famine.

He's also possibly helped bring about the feast of All Soul's Day, which is a pretty amazing thing to have on your Eternal Resume.

Odilo died on January 1, 1049.

St. Odilo of Cluny, pray for us.
