#MovieQuoteForThePope: You Only Get One Shot

I'm sure I'm not the only one who has had daydreams of meeting the Pope.

I'm guessing that when someone does get a chance to meet him, they get about 5-10 seconds to say what they want to say.

Can you imagine the pressure leading up to this opportunity? What would you say? What would you want to tell or ask him? What if you couldn't get the words out of your mouth, and he responded by asking you wanted a football for the sake of speeding things up?

And that leads us to the topic of movies. I don't know about you, but I would estimate (conservatively) that about 20% of my daily conversations are purely quotes from beloved movies. Movie quotes help us connect, gauge how much we'll like another person (based on their response, which obviously must be a return quote from the same film), and really bond us all together as a culture.

How amazing would it be if you took your one brief moment with Pope Francis, dropped a movie quote on him, and he responded in kind? It. Would. Blow. Your. Mind.

With that inspiration, today we open #MovieQuoteForThePope here on the Catholic Hipster weblog.

Share the one movie quote you would drop in a Papal Audience on Twitter with the hashtag #MovieQuoteForThePope. We'll be sharing some of our favorites along the way!

I'll start us off:

"Okay, Francis, now we face each other as God intended. Sportsmanlike. No tricks, no weapons, skill against skill alone."
