Obscure Saint of the Day: St. Wulfric

Happy Feast of St. Wulfric, to all you Catholic Hipsters out there!

Wulfric was a hermit and a miracle worker from England, but it didn't start out that way.

Despite becoming a priest, he remained worldly and focused on material possession. That is, until he met a beggar who led him to a personal conversion.

After that meeting, he became a hermit, devoting himself to prayer and an austere life.

St. Wulfric died in 1154.

St. Wulfric, pray for us.
