Obscure Saint of the Day: St. Jeremy

It's two days after the feast of St. Valentine, and that can only mean one thing:

Happy Feast of St. Jeremy!

St. Jeremy was a companion of St. Elias, who visited Egyptian Christians forced to work in mines during the persecution of Maximus.

After being caught, and accused of being Christian, Jeremy and his companions were promptly  beheaded.

Jeremy will always be a model of bravery, and perseverance in faith, even in the most difficult circumstances.

St. Jeremy, pray for us.
