Obscure Saint of the Day: St. Waningus

It's the Feast of St. Waningus!

Today's Saint is the latest in a long line of Saints so obscure we can't find an image of them anywhere on the internet!

St. Waningus was a Benedictine from France who was previously a nobleman of the King before giving up his worldly ways for a habit.

His conversion was reportedly sparked by a dream where he was visited by St. Eulalia, who warned him of the difficulty the rich would face entering Heaven.

St. Waningus was singularly responsible for the founding of the Holy Trinity Church and Convent of Fecamp.

St. Waningus, pray for us.
