Obscure Saint of the Day: St. Eusebius

Happy Friday!

Ready to score big with your pals this weekend via your random obscure saint knowledge?

If your answer is yes...

Happy Feast of St. Eusebius the Hermit!

First off, let's be clear that we're not talking about the vastly more well known St. Eusebius of Vercelli, who we honor on August 2.

This St. Eusebius was a Syrian hermit who established his holy refuge on Mount Coryphe, near Antioch.

According to tradition, he ate only 15 figs during an intense a forty day fast.

He died in the 4th Century.

St. Eusebius, pray for us.
