Obscure Saint of the Day: The Martyrs of Ephesus

Happy January 12th everyone!

Here's the latest in a long line of obscure saint of the day posts to help expand your Catholic Hipster knowledge base.

Today is the Feast of the Martyrs of Ephesus!

Today we honor forty-two monks from Ephesus put to death by Constantine V.

A quick Google search on these beloved martyrs also gets you to a story about The Seven Sleepers from Ephesus, which is well worth the read.

Catholic Hipsters everywhere should work at fitting a Seven Sleepers reference into casual conversation over the next week!

Martyrs of Ephesus, pray for us.
