Crazy Like A Saint

Everyone's favorite tweeting nun, Sr. Helena Burns, fsp, has been hard at work putting together a film based on the work of Blessed Father Alberione, and just based on her tweets, it's looking like it will be a thing of pure awesomeness.

Without seeing the film, I think it is a safe bet to consider Blessed Father Alberione a proto-Catholic-Hipster. He was involved in evangelizing through media WAY before it was cool, and you don't have to look far to see the amazing fruits of his labor!

The Catholic media has made such a difference in the lives (and eternal lives) of so many, it is impossible to count. I owe my own reversion and strengthened relationship with the Church to being re-evangalized through Catholic media, and it continues to stregthen my faith on a daily basis.

In addition, I'm hoping to see a new line of Catholic merchandise (t-shirts, iPhone covers, hoodies, habits, the whole nine) with the tag line for the film.

Who could resist "Crazy Like a Saint"?

Catholic Hipsters, prepare to set yourselves to geek mode, the film releases January 25th.
